What this site collects
This site runs no advertising, and it measures visits in two ways. On the server it counts pages and visits from its own logs, with every IP address shortened and no cookie. In your browser, only if you accept statistics in the consent banner, Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited, as our data processor) sets its cookies and records the pages you visit, your device and your approximate area, without advertising features, for 14 months; Google may process these data in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The consent banner is provided by Cookiebot (Usercentrics A/S, Denmark) as our data processor: its servers, which deliver the banner, receive the technical data of each request and, when you answer, keep a record of the choice as proof of consent for 12 months (shortened IP address, date and time, browser, page and an anonymous key). Beyond that, the site collects data from you only when you write to us through its contact form (see below). The hosting provider keeps technical server logs (IP address, requested page, time) for security and for the counts above, for no longer than 30 days.
When you write to us
If you write to us through the site's form, on WhatsApp or by email, we handle the data you give us (name, email address, telephone number if you add it, the content of the message) to answer you and to prepare or manage a stay. Messages from the form reach our mailbox through our email provider, which acts as data processor. On WhatsApp a virtual concierge, Amelia, answers first; every conversation is read by our team. Messages and conversations are kept for 24 months after the last message, then erased.
When you book
Bookings are made on our booking engine, provided by Kross Booking at vivilocollection.kross.travel, under its own privacy notice shown there. To open a stay we collect the data Italian law requires of every accommodation (identity of each guest, for the public-security notification and the tourist statistics), kept for the term the law sets, and we issue the tax documents the law requires.
Legal basis
We handle your data to perform the contract of your stay, to comply with legal obligations (public security, tax, proof of the consent given in the banner), with your consent for Google Analytics, which you can withdraw at any time from “Cookie preferences”, and, for answering an enquiry and counting visits without identifying anyone, on the basis of our legitimate interest. We never sell data and we share it only with the providers who make the service work (the booking engine, the payment provider, the consent banner, the analytics provider, the cleaning company for the dates of a stay) and with the authorities where the law requires.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time to access, correct, erase or export your data, to restrict or object to its handling, and you may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali). Write to info@vivilocollection.it: we answer within 30 days.
